CTV News CTV News — 3min

The annual CHEO telethon is highlighting the incredible resilience of a 10-year-old girl recovering from a rare pelvic tumour.

CTV's Katelyn Wilson speaks with patient Charley, her parents Alyssa and Damian, and oncologist Dr. Raveena Ramphal about the intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments she endured.

Pediatric orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kevin Smit helped complete an 18-hour surgery to remove the mass, supported by community donations that fund rehabilitation resources for children across the region.
