Saudi Arabia is betting big on the global gaming industry.

It's already gobbled up Electronic Arts in a $55 billion deal and the flagship Esports World Cup is now being held outside the country -- in Paris -- for the first time.

This is part of efforts to diversify away from its oil and gas driven economy.
