the coastal resort of Lège-Cap-Ferret, west of Bordeaux, as a major wildfire continues to burn.
The latest evacuation order expands what has become France's largest peacetime evacuation, with soaring temperatures threatening firefighters' efforts to contain the blaze.
Firefighters remain on the ground battling the fire.
Authorities say no injuries have been reported so far.
