Sudan recalls ambassador after drone attacks it says are linked to Ethiopia
The Sudanese military is accusing Ethiopia of sending drones towards Sudan, including Khartoum airport, and withdrawing its ambassador.
A spokesman said Tuesday that evidence shows four drone strikes since March 1 were launched from Ethiopia’s Bahir Dar airport and used drones supplied by the United Arab Emirates.
Sudan and the Rapid Support Forces have been at war since April 2023.
Sudan has long accused the UAE of supporting the RSF, which the UAE denies.
Drone warfare has intensified, with recent attacks in Khartoum and Omdurman.
At least 59,000 people have died in the conflict, but aid groups warn the toll could be higher.
