Barbra Streisand won't attend Cannes ceremony after knee injury
Barbra Streisand says she won’t attend the Cannes Film Festival ceremony where she was to receive an honorary Palme d’Or after sustaining a knee injury.
The iconic singer-actor announced on Sunday that she cannot be at the festival’s closing ceremony next Saturday.
The festival says it will still honor Streisand despite her absence.
During its opening ceremony, the Cannes Film Festival gave Peter Jackson an honorary Palme d’Or.
It also surprised John Travolta with one ahead of the premiere of his directorial debut, “Propeller One-Way Night Coach,” on Friday.
