From furniture to electronics: Which Canadian products will be hardest hit by new Trump tariffs

Trade tensions between Canada and the U.S. escalated further this week as President Donald Trump threatened a new 50 per cent duty on some Canadian goods.

International trade lawyer William Pellerin says this fresh round of tariffs will have a devastating impact on Canadian businesses.

In an interview with Global's Jazan Grewal, he says he expects the new tariffs will hit Canadian furniture manufacturers the hardest and that the impact could be so “catastrophic” it could shut down some rural towns.
