Nanaimo RCMP say a targeted anti-gang operation led to a majour drug and weapons seizure in early June 2026, after a group of suspects tried to evade a traffic stop.
Mounties say the combined special forces unit was in Nanaimo June 5-7 focusing on gang activity and dial-a-dope trafficking.
Officers say they observed suspicious behaviour near Strickland Ave and Robin Street in the Harbour City, and when they tried to stop the vehicle it drove off.
