Emergency services have been working through the night to bring food and gas to stranded Alberta motorists along Highway 63, outside Fort McMurray.

“It was like intermittent whiteout conditions,” Bryan Routhier, a driver who was stuck on Highway 63 said. “You’re in the middle of nowhere, so there wasn’t much light,” he added.

For many who have spent over 13 hours on the road, the response hasn’t been enough.
