Three more people have been charged with violent disorder following protests in Southampton after the murder of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak, bringing the total number charged over the unrest to 14.

Dabinderjit Singh, a senior executive at the Sikh Foundation, has also raised serious concerns about the impact on the wider Sikh community, claiming Sikhs have faced attacks and threats on a daily basis since the case sparked national outrage.

He warned that tensions could have devastating consequences, asking: “What if somebody gets killed?”

The latest charges come as police continue investigating the violent disorder, while community leaders call for calm and warn against blaming an entire community for the actions of one individual.
