America has announced a blockade of ships from Iranian ports will begin on Monday, at 14 GMT.
The U.S. military's Central Command says the Navy will stop all vessels, from any nation, from passing through the Strait of Hormuz if they are travelling to or from Iran.
The announcement comes days after the U.S. agreed to a ceasefire with Iran.
Talks for a long term peace plan ended on Saturday without a deal.
