Former SNP chief executive and husband of ex-First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Peter Murrell, has been jailed for more than five years after being found guilty of stealing £400,000 from the Scottish National Party.

Murrell used fake invoices to disguise luxury purchases, including a £125,000 motorhome, a Jaguar motor vehicle, a £3,000 robotic lawn mower recorded as legal fees, and over £42,000 spent on Amazon over 12 years.
