Severe storms threaten Plains and Midwest again

A day after severe storms damaged communities in the Plains and the Midwest, forecasters are warning that storms could bring giant hail, tornadoes and severe wind gusts to the regions again.
Authorities in Kansas reported several people injured after storms passed through on Monday.
The Miami County Sheriff's office says several homes were destroyed, campers were overturned and two people reported minor injuries.
A survey team will assess damage in the Ottawa area in neighboring Franklin County on Tuesday to determine whether a tornado passed through.
Forecasters say significant river and small stream flooding is expected through the end of the week in the Upper Great Lakes.
