Jeffries: “F around and find out”

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) issued a sharp warning Wednesday to Florida Republicans as they consider a proposal to redraw the state's congressional map ahead of the midterm elections.
 
"Our message to Florida Republicans is 'F around and find out,'" he said. "If they go down the road of a DeSantis 'dummymander,' the Florida Republicans are going to find themselves in the same situation as Texas Republicans."
 
The message was delivered on the heels of Virginia voters approving a new congressional map that could net Democrats as many as four new seats — a response to GOP gerrymandering in red states, most notably Texas.
 
"They started this war, and we're going to finish it," Rep. Jeffries said.
