A 5-year-old boy and a man were hurt in a drive-by shooting early Saturday in Little Italy on the Near West Side.
A group was gathered in the 1000 block of West 14th Street around 12:35 a.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone from inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
A man, 39, was struck in the buttocks and was taken to the same hospital in good condition.
No arrests were made.
