Former JAG officer: Strait of Hormuz toll would be ‘illegal’

A former judge advocate general (JAG) officer said on Wednesday that Iran’s proposed tax on oil-carrying ships traveling through the Strait of Hormuz is “illegal.”  Tehran set a new toll rate of the cryptocurrency equivalent of $1 per barrel of oil during the two-week ceasefire with the U.S., which began on Wednesday.
