Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Sunday the province will sell a second-hand private jet worth nearly $30 million dollars, just days after buying it.
The move comes after backlash from opposition parties and watchdog groups, who called the purchase a waste of taxpayer money during an affordability crisis.
The $28.9-million pre-owned Bombardier Challenger 650 was quickly labelled the premier’s “gravy plane.”
Lexy Benedict has the latest on the plane, the quick reaction and the province’s decision to sell.
