DP bags 9 by-election wins in 14 districts as Han Dong-hoon enters Assembly

The ruling Democratic Party of Korea claimed victory in nine constituencies out of 14 in the parliamentary by-elections on Thursday.

As 13 out of 14 were previously held by the Democratic Party in the 22nd National Assembly, People Power Party flipped seats in three electoral districts, while the Democratic Party also conceded one more district to prosecutor-turned-politician Han Dong-hoon, who ran as an independent candidate.
