Nicklaus created a special event at the Memorial. It no longer stands out in big-money era of golf
Jack Nicklaus wanted to create the best tournament possible and one that would stand out.
The Memorial began 50 years ago and it seems to get better each year.
But it no longer stands out among so much big-money tournaments in golf.
Nicklaus isn't happy with the direction the PGA Tour is going.
But he first wants to meet with CEO Brian Rolapp to get a better understanding.
Nicklaus doesn't think cramming so many big tournaments into a tight schedule is good for the tour or the players.
Nicklaus still thinks the way he did as a player.
