Marine Le Pen's hopes of standing in France's next presidential election have been revived after an appeals court shortened her ban from holding public office.
The National Rally leader was previously blocked from running after being convicted over the misuse of European Parliament funds.
The ruling still requires her to wear an electronic tag for a year, which could complicate any campaign.
