No one injured in Austin fire that spread to multiple homes

A fire in the Austin neighborhood tore through three homes Monday morning and displaced over 20 people, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the extra-alarm call around 9 a.m. in the 4700 block of West Fulton Street, around the corner from the Cicero Avenue Green Line stop.

No injuries were reported.

The fire started in one home and spread to two others, according to the fire department.

The flames were extinguished just before noon.

The cause is under investigation.
