Artemis II's crew has travelled the farthest distance into space from Earth, breaking the record set by the Apollo 13 mission.
The moment was filled with emotion as astronaut Reid Wiseman said he was naming a bright spot on the moon after his late wife Carroll, who died of cancer in 2020.
The crew are due to travel around the far side of the moon before returning to Earth.
