Chef declines to answer questions on money in trial of ex-Patriots receiver Diggs
A former live-in chef for Stefon Diggs declined to answer questions Tuesday about financial demands made on her behalf as defense attorneys pressed her during cross-examination in his assault trial.
Jamila “Mila” Adams said she was paid about $2,000 a week but believed she was still owed money, while the defense pointed to a $19,000 demand and a separate claim her attorney sought $5.5 million.
Adams responded at times, “I can’t speak on that” and said she did not understand some questions.
A judge instructed her to answer directly.
Diggs has pleaded not guilty to strangulation and assault charges.
