Labour has won every general election here since 1922, and has led the Senedd since it was established in 1998.
That record is now in serious peril.
A poll released tonight for ITV Wales shows Plaid Cymru and Reform neck-and-neck on 29%, and then a fair bit behind Labour on 13%, the Green Party on 10%, Conservatives on 8% and Lib Dems on 6%.
According to their modelling, it would mean 37 Reform seats in the Welsh Parliament, Plaid Cymru on 36, Labour 12, Greens seven and the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats only just getting a few elected with three and one respectively.
Now we should emphasise that this is just one poll; others have shown somewhat different pictures, and there are over two weeks of campaigning left.
