Wedding hall shuts down 2 weeks before ceremonies, leaving couples scrambling

A bride-to-be who was set to marry at a wedding hall on Sogang University’s campus next month was told Aug. 23 that the venue had abruptly shut down after a court-ordered enforcement action, leaving her and other couples scrambling to find alternatives.

The woman had been scheduled to hold her wedding Sept. 12 at the Gonzaga Convention space, but the venue told her that it could no longer operate.

Interior decorations and the wedding aisle were removed the following day.
