Padres are nearing a whopping sale for nearly $4 billion, AP source says
The team is expected to be sold for $3.9 billion to private equity billionaire José E. Feliciano and his wife, Kwanza Jones.
It would be a record deal for a MLB team, topping the approximately $2.4 billion paid by Steven Cohen for the Mets in 2020.
