Exclusive: Water companies responsible for 59 serious incidents in six months

Despite the lack of rainfall here, water monopolies in England are on course to record their worst ever year for pollution.

At the same time they're getting the go-ahead to raise customers' bills.

Data released under Freedom of Information rules - and shared with Channel 4 News - show water companies were responsible for 59 serious incidents including toxic sewage or chemical spills, in the first six months of the year alone.
