Chagos deal 'pretty much at an end' after Trump pressure, says shadow defence secretary

Conservative shadow defence secretary James Cartlidge says the Chagos Islands deal is "pretty much at an end" after failing to progress through Parliament.

Cartlidge claims this represents a 'major U-turn' by the government, arguing the deal would have been 'foolish' and cost £35 billion for British territory.
