England fans appeared to enjoy a well-behaved night in Atlanta on the eve of their World Cup semi-final, but the same cannot be said of Argentina supporters who were seen brawling with each other.
Rival fans of Argentine clubs San Lorenzo and Huracan had to be separated by police officers after coming to blows in Atlanta on Tuesday night.
Argentina supporters were asked to gather for a “flag-waving rally” the night before the semi-final in a show of celebration, with the country’s supporters expected to vastly outnumber England fans.
But the event descended into chaos when two ultra groups started fighting and caused many to flee for their safety.
