A U.K. spy chief is warning that Britain and its allies risk losing a cyber conflict against adversaries like Russia unless cybersecurity is treated with greater urgency.

Anne Keast-Butler, director of GCHQ, plans to say Wednesday that Moscow is targeting critical infrastructure and public trust in Britain and Europe.

She will highlight rapid advances in artificial intelligence and stress the need for urgent cybersecurity efforts.
