Iranian state media is reporting that Iran will not take part in a second round of peace talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, citing "Washington's excessive demands." CTV's Kimberley Fowler reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is claiming to offer "a very fair and reasonable deal" but threatened to "knock out every single power plant and bridge" if Iran refuses.

Vice President J.D. Vance will lead the American delegation.

Meanwhile, Iran claims the Strait of Hormuz is closed, though tracking data from Marine-Traffic showed vessels from China and India passing through.
