Less than 24 hours after opening the Strait, Iran said it had changed its mind, saying President Trump's insistence that a US naval blockade would continue was in breach of a ceasefire agreement.
Vessels in the Strait of Hormuz have reported that they've been attacked by Iranian gunboats after Tehran again closed the vital waterway.
Ceasefires in Iran and Lebanon remain fragile.
