At least 11 people have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.

Lebanese officials said three children were among seven people killed when an Israeli strike hit a home in the village of Ansar.

The Israeli military claimed it had hit Hezbollah infrastructure in response to an attack by the group on their troops.

Lebanon's prime minister said it undermined efforts to stabilise the situation in the south of the country.
