An eastern Ontario company played a role in the successful splashdown of NASA’s Artemis II mission, which marked humanity’s first crewed trip around the Moon in more than 50 years.

The Artemis II spacecraft returned to Earth with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean after a 10-day mission that included a lunar flyby.

The local company contributed specialized technology used during the mission’s final phase, highlighting the role Canadian innovation continues to play in international space exploration efforts.

CTV's Katelyn Wilson reports on how the region is connected to one of the most significant space missions in decades.
