Prime Minister Keir Starmer will battle to save his job this afternoon by explaining to Parliament how officials supposedly did not tell him that Peter Mandelson had failed his security vetting.

Starmer will be faced with allegations that he misled Parliament after telling MPs the proper process had been followed in appointing Lord Mandelson as US ambassador.
Starmer insists he'd been kept in the dark.
He effectively fired the Foreign Office’s top official Sir Olly Robbins last week over the issue.
Sir Olly is expected to give his own account to MPs on Tuesday.
