Tesco has exceeded its profit targets and expects to make a bigger profit next year, though the grocer warned against the “uncertainty” caused by the Iran war.

The supermarket giant made an operating profit of over £3.1bn in the year to February 2026, over performing its own forecasts of between £2.9 and £3.1bn.
