Members of Montreal’s Haitian community are urging governments to do more to help tens of thousands of Haitians in the United States who are losing their temporary protected status.

Legal experts and organizations that work with asylum seekers say they are concerned about the impact on Haitians and Syrians whose protections are ending.

As Phil Carpenter reports, advocates say Canada and Quebec should be doing more to support people seeking asylum rather than creating additional barriers.
