How Israel has emptied southern Lebanon far beyond the front lines
Since Israel agreed to halt fighting with Hezbollah last month, its relentless air strikes and evacuation orders have expanded the buffer zone it already held in southern Lebanon.
Dozens of villages and towns – about a fifth of all Lebanon – have now been depopulated, according to a review of Israeli military statements and interviews conducted by Reuters.
