Florida launches probe into OpenAI over ChatGPT’s alleged role in shooting
Florida has opened a criminal investigation into OpenAI following a deadly shooting in 2025 at Florida State University, Attorney General James Uthmeier said Tuesday.
Authorities are looking into claims that the company's ChatGPT chatbot provided information to the suspect prior to the attack.
