Lois Romano on Mary Todd Lincoln: "She got no grace"

C-SPAN's "America's Book Club" — Lois Romano, a journalist and author, talked about why she decided to write a biography of Mary Todd Lincoln, the wife of President Abraham Lincoln.

"I concluded that her biography was not well rounded, that she was judged by some of her flaws, and no one should be judged by only her flaws," she said. "We all should be allowed a little bit of grace in our lives, and she got no grace during her lifetime."
