A curfew has been extended in several Nepalese towns after three people were killed in sectarian violence on the Indian border.

Tension has been simmering since a clash broke out on Sunday following a dispute over some loud music and religious flags in a Hindu event, according to officials.

An indefinite curfew has been put in place in several areas to stop any further violence.
