Iran has announced it is closing the Strait of Hormuz again less than 24 hours after declaring the waterway open.
It says the United States must lift its blockade of Iranian ports before marine traffic can flow freely.
The tension has placed a chokehold on the global economy, heavily restricting the movement of energy supplies worldwide.
Al Jazeera’s Tohid Asadi has the latest from Tehran.
