The parliamentary standards watchdog has resumed its investigation into financial gifts and support given to Nigel Farage, after the Reform UK leader was re-elected as MP for Clacton.

The other main parties boycotted the vote, which was triggered when Mr Farage resigned his seat for what he described as a "people versus the establishment" verdict.
The by-election ended up costing the taxpayer around £250,000.
