As Alberta heads towards a referendum that puts separatism on the ballot, the same frustrations are fueling a push for separatism in Saskatchewan and it’s becoming harder for political leaders to ignore.
The Saskatchewan Prosperity Project has been hosting province-wide town halls, and the group’s president claims the idea is gaining momentum.
One of the main grievances that has brought the separatists together is perceived overreach by the federal government, as well as fears that their culture and freedoms are under attack.
