Paul Dans has ended his Republican primary challenge against Sen. Lindsey Graham in South Carolina.
He withdrew on Friday, the last day to remove his name from the ballot before the June 9 primary.
Dans stated his decision was unrelated to support from conservative commentator Tucker Carlson.
Carlson and President Donald Trump have been feuding over the Iran war.
Trump endorsed Graham and suggested Carlson's endorsement of Dans was detrimental.
Dans, known for his work on Project 2025, endorsed another Republican candidate, Mark Lynch.
Graham is a long-serving senator who has significant campaign money and support from key Republicans.
