Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took aim at European allies over migration during a D-Day commemoration speech, saying the "invasion" of foreigners was spreading "dangerous ideologies."
"Sadly, today, different European beaches are stormed by different dangerous ideologies," he said at the Normandy American Cemetery in France. "Beaches in Spain and Italy and Greece and Bulgaria, boats and men arrive.
When will European capitals do something about that invasion?
Or is it too late?"
The Pentagon chief was speaking at an event commemorating the 82nd anniversary of Allied forces storming the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, which ultimately led to the liberation of France.
