US Labor Secretary Lori Chevez-Deremer leaves Trump Cabinet
US Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Deremer has resigned amid misconduct allegations, as a months-long investigation into claims involving her and senior aides nears its conclusion.
The probe stems from a whistleblower’s accusations of professional misconduct, including an alleged affair with a member of her security team and the use of department resources for personal travel.
The White House says her deputy will serve as acting secretary in the meantime.
