A Vancouver Island food bank is asking the community to step up and help support their cause during one of its most challenging times of year.
Loaves and Fishes in Naniamo has launched its Food 4 Summer campaign with a goal to raise $50,000.
The food bank says demand is up anywhere from 3 to 10 percent each month from last year, while donations remain stagnant.
