Nigel Farage says Britain is experiencing “a truly historic shift in British politics” after Reform UK made major gains in local elections across England.
Speaking during a visit to Havering Town Hall in Romford, he described the results as a significant realignment in the UK political landscape, with Reform challenging both Labour and Conservative strongholds.
Farage said Reform UK is now “winning one in three of all the seats” in contested areas and insisted “the best is yet to come” as results continue to come in from across the country, including key battleground regions such as the North East, Yorkshire, and the West Midlands.
He claimed the party is rapidly expanding its reach and becoming competitive nationwide.
The comments come amid mixed results for Labour and the Conservatives in local councils, with shifting voter patterns emerging across the country.
Farage argues Reform UK is now emerging as a national political force, reshaping traditional party divisions and redefining the UK political landscape following the latest election results.
