Why Netflix's new FIFA World Cup game with daily real-world updates is a massive deal for football fans
Netflix will launch "FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition" on June 11, developed by Delphi Interactive in partnership with FIFA. The phone-controlled, TV-playable game is free for Netflix subscribers and features all 48 World Cup teams, 16 stadiums, and 1,248 players.
It is part of FIFA's broader post-EA Sports strategy to build a multi-platform gaming ecosystem targeting younger audiences through accessible, low-barrier titles across Roblox, mobile, and now streaming platforms.
A full global rollout begins on June 11.
