Greek national charged with helping foreign intelligence service target a journalist
A Greek national is set to appear in a U.K. court on charges that he helped the intelligence serivce of a foreign country, believed to be Iran, target a journalist working in London.
London's Metropolitan Police Service says in a statement that the allegations against 46-year-old Ioannis Aidinidis relate to attempts to target a journalist for Iran International, which is a Persian-language media outlet that has traditionally been critical of the country’s Islamic government.
